Disney World Christmas Decorations 2013 part 1

My husband and I were at Disney World last week for the 2013 Pop Warner Superbowl.  In between team activities we had an hour here and a couple hours there, so we decide to explore some of the resorts at Disney World and check out the Christmas decorations.

Grand Floridian – an impressive resort, with an impressive staff and impressive decorations!  The Gingerbread House is not to be missed! It is made with 1,050 pounds o honey, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 700 pounds of chocolate, 800 pounds of flour and 35 pounds of spices.  There is a gift shop inside where you can buy ginger bread.

The lobby is also impressive and looking out from the second floor balcony you can see the tree and the decorations and the impressive space.

Disney World – Yacht Club is another highly impressive resort.  The decorations were nautically themed and there is a huge train set-up with wonderful scenes.

We then walked around the Boardwalk.  We actually missed the Beach Club, which is right next to the Yacht Club. I heard that it’s another impressive one.  It’s definitely on my must see the next time we are at Disney World.

We walked down the board walk to the Boardwalk Hotel.  That hotel actually had a fire going in the fireplace – that is shocking because it was 85 degrees out!  This hotel also had a Ginger Bread House inside of it.  It was not quite as impressive as the one at the Grand Floridian.

Then the last stop on the circle was the Swan and Dolphin hotels.  They are on Disney proprty, but they are not run by Disney. But there was an impressive display made entirely out of chocolate and the other hotel at a Christmas tree made out of Poinsettias.

We also visited some other Disney properties to look at more decorations.  So, take a look at my part 2 post to see those!

Wishing you a magical day!
